I have reviewed a post named "Google get sued in China over name"
Google started its Chinese subsidiary in 2005. Google's Chinese subsidiary has transliterated its name to Guge. Google is pronounce as GUGE in Chinese. GUGE is Beijing Guge Science and Technology Ltd. GUGE is suing Google for harming its business because it is too similar to its own name. Beijing Guge Science and Technology Ltd told Reuters news agency that people were constantly phoning its office trying to contact search engine Google. This actually has led to situation where numerous phone calls to get into contact with Google were made to Beijing Guge Science and Technology Ltd as Google is not being listed in the local telephone directory. Tian Yunshan of Beijing Guge stated that they just want Google to change their commercial name.

Due to this case, many IT firms such as Microsoft and Yahoo have been criticised for censoring themselves in order to enter the Chinese market.

Similar situation was also encountered by Utube.com (Universal Tube and Rollform Equipment) which caused the little known website server experienced dramatic increase in the page request up to 2 million hits per month as the popularity of YouTube.com is increasing. This caused the company server to crash a few times and a more reliable server were required.
